When you enconter supply problem while using compatible toner cartridge, 

you may turn off  printer updates to make your printer run smoothly in future.   

Please do as follows when you are using HP 414、HP 415 toner cartridge:                                                                                                      

Printers for touch screens:  

First, drop down main menu from the top of the screen to enter “Setup”.  

Second, find the“Printer Maintenance” and click“Update the printer”.

Third, find “Printer update options” and click “Do Not Check” then select “No”.

Last, return to “Manage updates” and click “Allow Updates” then select “No”.

Printers for display screens: 

First, click “OK” and select “Main Menu” to enter “Setup”. 

Second, find the“Printer Maintenance” and click“Update Firmware”,

Third, select “Printer update options” to  select “off”

Last, return to “Manage updates” and click “Allow Updates” then select “No”.

When you find that there is no option in “Update Firmware”, which indicates that 

the printer has turned off the upgrade option. You can ignore this operation message.

Please do as follows when you have other model of toner besides HP414、HP415 ：

Printers for touch screens:  

First, click “setup” to enter “setup menu”. 

Second, scroll down to find “service” and click “LaserJet update”.

Third, click “Manage Updates” , click “Check Automatically” then select “off”, 

click “Prompt Before Install” ,then select “Always Prompt”,click “Allow Updates”,

then select “No”.

Printers for display screens: 

First, click “OK” to enter “setup menu”. 

Second, scroll down to find “service” and click “LaserJet update”.

Third, click “Manage Updates” , click “Check Automatically” then select “off”, 

click “Prompt Before Install” ,then select “Always Prompt”,click “Allow Updates”,

then select “No”.
